I’m gonna be starting something new on the website this month! I want to showcase a different Goddess every month (12). These Goddesses will come from a calendar that I fell in love with last year, & I just wanted to share the beauty & knowledge with my fellow goddesses. And what better way to do that than by introducing them on my website to others. Sharing the wealth of wisdom!
Once supreme throughout the world, Goddesses were recognized, exalted & worshipped. Over millennia, Goddess worship was wiped out violently & strategically by those who sought to have a male-dominated world. And to this day we are a people ran by a chauvinistic patriarchal society. So now anything or anyone associated with power is automatically assumed to be male (i.e. God, Doctor, Judge, Warrior, Pastor, Professor, etc). I recommend researching this further to truly understand where I’m coming from. It’s deep folks. We are under a deep deep spell that has to be broken. But let’s get back to our Goddess talk.
By definition a Goddess is usually a female deity in polytheistic religions. To me a Goddess is a woman who carries herself with class, pride, grace, dignity and respect. A woman who is regal, majestic, magical, and beautiful inside/out. She takes care of her business in every aspect. But most importantly, a Goddess is a woman who is real to herself & others; she is genuine & authentic. And by no means is she a pushover, but kind, gentle, feminine & fearless. If she has children, she is the ultimate mother, nurturer, protector & guide to her children. That is a Goddess!
So with that said, let’s start it off right by introducing the 1st Goddess of the Month:
Kemetic goddess, Isis, is the wife of Osiris & Mother of Heru. She is the goddess of medicine, wisdom & the moon. Isis has the power to give & restore life. She actually collected all the body parts of her husband Osiris, who had been murdered & dismembered by his brother Seth, and brought him back to life. Isis is also known as the Queen of Earth, Goddess of Life & Healing, and Protectress of the Dead.
If you wish to possess these qualities or if you already do & want to enhance them, commune with her, spend time getting to know her. She is in all of us. But like with anything you want more of, or want to get better at, you must put your energy and attention towards that. There is no exception with Goddess Isis. She is our Mother. Give her gifts, talk to her, meditate on her, and accept her.
